I’ve reached the point where I can no longer count the number of times I’ve restarted this blog, but here I go again.  I thought seriously about just jumping back in again, but since I haven’t updated in nearly six months, it seems far too disjointed to just start writing again.  Plus, I don’t think anyone was following this pathetic excuse for a blog — but mostly, I just love a fresh start.

And what better season for one than fall?  Something about the crisp air and changing leaves feels more “new” and inspiring to me than any other time of year.  No wonder I don’t keep up with resolutions I make at New Year’s — what’s so inspiring about the dead of winter, especially in the miserable frozen wasteland that is Chicago in January and February?

So what can you expect me to post here?  Mostly fashion and beauty stuff, with a little lifestyle/DIY thrown into the mix.  I’m in the midst of decorating my very first solo apartment, which has been a challenge and an adventure, so that will be part of this as well.  I hope to include music, books and movies so I guess I’ll start posting my thoughts on those too.  I’ve started the daunting task of reading the 100 Best Novels as ranked by Modern Library, and also watching 100 Years…100 Movies — I’m currently struggling through Ulysses by James Joyce and hating it.  So some of those types of posts should be coming soon as well.

Fingers crossed I can stick with this blog this time…
