ABOUT RADIO CLASH: This blog was started almost two years ago, but I’ve never managed to keep up with it.  This is the blog’s fourth or fifth reincarnation — maybe this time it will manage to survive my perpetual loss of interest.

I have always loved looking at fashion blogs, but lately it seems that many of my favorite bloggers have become so successful that they are almost hard to relate to for some one like me — a recent college grad with a relatively low income.  While their looks are still beyond inspiring, it is a little disheartening to read blogs and realize I will probably never be able to afford most of the clothes and shoes featured on it.  My hope for this blog is that it will provide examples of more realistic fashion for those of us who are still stuck in the “wishful thinking” sort of category.

My biggest blogger inspiration has been and probably always will be Agathe of Style Bytes.  Though she no longer blogs, and it appears her site has been taken over by someone else, all of Agathe’s archives are still available.  Almost everything that Agathe wore was from vintage stores, independent designers, or stores like H&M.  Her outfits were affordable and yet astonishingly creative and stylish.  While I am nowhere near as talented as Agathe was, I’m hoping that by blogging I can improve my own personal style and offer something fairly unique in the sea of other blogs on the internet.
